Children represent hope, and there is no greater joy than watching them grow. As we raise children, however, there are times when we have questions. For those moments, the Marion Area Family Resource Center provides the programming and information caring adults needs.

So whether you’re looking for a fun place to meet other parents, need creative parenting ideas, want to learn more about caring for elderly relatives or simply want to join community events, stop by or sign up for our upcoming events.

On behalf of the Marion Public Library, Marion Police Department, City of Marion, and Marion Area Family Resourece Center, we would like to corially invite you, to the 2nd Annual "National Night Out"!
This event is designed to strengthen the community by promoting safety, communications, and working together.  Our goal is to make the Marion area a safe and wholesome place to live.  Last year over 400 area residents attended!

This year we've scheduled the event for Tuesday, August 5th, from 4-7 p.m. at Lion's Point in Marion.  There will be entertainment, games for kids, demonstrations by our local safety service agencies, and hopefully a visit by the "Flight for Life".  All we ask is for you to bring your spouse, a friend, family, and a dish to pass.  All drinks and meat; hamburger, brats, and hot dogs will be provided.

The event is free and open to all residents in the surrounding Marion area.

Marion After-School Adventure

Marion After-School Adventure (MASA) will be discontinued and will not occur in 2006-2007.  Many families indicated that students were involved in other activities, and so the program was not being utilized to its fullest potential.  Therefore, we felt we could focus on time and assets into various other family activities.

To register for any of these events or to learn more about our programming, please contact us.
